7-Day Winter Camp concludes in GDC Kalakote

RAJOURI, Dec 31: NSS unit of Government Degree College Kalakote, concluded 7 Day winter camp ogrnised on the College Campus in collaboration with the Department of Environmental Sciences.
The Seven-Day Winter Camp started on 24th of December, 2022 and culminated today.
The camp was organised under the guidance of Principal Government Degree College Kalakote, (Prof.) Dr Seema Arora, with the message of selfless services while focusing on a communitarian approach.
On the last day of the camp, a valedictory function was organized to felicitate the participants of seven day long camp.
Presiding over the valedictory function, Principal of the college said that the NSS plays an important role in serving the society and inculcates various moral and social values among the youth. She also appreciated the NSS volunteers for showing enthusiasm and zeal in the camp for spreading awareness in the society. Cleanliness is next to Godliness, she added.
Presenting the seven days special NSS camp report, NSS Programme Officer said that during seven days camp, NSS volunteers visited Chainpur (village & river), organized Cleanliness drive and rally under the banner of 'Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan'. They participated in poster-making and slogan-writing competitions. NSS volunteers displayed their talents during the programme and also carried out beautification of the college.
Khalida Parveen, HOD EVS, also congratulated the NSS volunteers on the successful completion of the camp. She also added that the role of youth can't be ignored in shaping the country. Without the active involvement of youth society cannot flourish and such camps are helpful in overall development. The students of college undertook an extensive one-week cleanliness of water bodies and surroundings.
The programme was concluded by vote of thanks given by Ms Priyanka Kumari (HOD Hindi). On this occasion all teaching faculty and non-teaching members were present.
