Jammu, Jan 1: District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Rural along with Block Congress Committee Paloura today initiated Bharat Jodo Yatra awareness programme at Paloura in Jammu.
On the occasion, Raman Bhalla, Working President JKPCC and former Minister was the Chief Guest while Mula Ram former Minister was the Guest of Honour. The programme was organized under the chairmanship of Hari Singh Chib, President DCC Jammu Rural in which Som Nath Sharma, President Block Congress Committee Patta Paloura was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Raman Bhalla highlighted the sacrifices and the contributions of the Congress Party towards Nation building and said it was the Congress Party alone which has built the Nation brick by brick while working tirelessly for the development of people of all shades without any discrimination. He asserted that the country’s oldest political party was credited for unifying people and maintaining secular fabric, diversity and multiplicity in the country.
The former minister termed the Congress Party a formidable force to reckon with saying that it will continue to serve the Nation despite malicious propaganda and the challenges.
Mula Ram highlighted the deceitful policies of the BJP towards J&K and said the people shall never forgive BJP for failing them on all counts besides abandoning J&K of electoral process to serve its political ends. One fails to understand as to what BJP wants from J&K People despite knowing that it stands rejected given its divisive policies and political exploitation. He said Congress lives in the hearts of all countrymen and enjoys their trust and confidence, for the fact, Congress Party has taken the prestige of the Nation to the heights, served and strengthened people to the best of its ability.
Hari Singh Chib said that the Yatra is scheduled to enter J&K on 22 January and shall conclude by 30th January, expressing confidence that the Yatra will be very successful given its significance and the Party’s commitment to defeat the hate and divisive politics in the Country. He laid stress upon defeating the nefarious designs of BJP, who is hell bent upon to divide people on regional, religious lines for the sake of votes and power. He said that Rahul Gandhi is taking up the ‘padayatra’ for about 3,500 km to awaken the youth to protect the country’s unity in the wake of attempts being made to bring differences within the society.
The DDC Rural President appealed to the people of Jammu irrespective of any political and social organizations to participate in the upcoming Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress which has developed a hope amongst the country men while having the potential to bring the Nation out of the morass and vitiated atmosphere created by BJPs hate politics.
