PM Modi’s zero tolerance policy on terrorism bringing desired results: Kavinder
‘Culture of youths joining terror ranks out of vogue’
1/1/2023 11:46:58 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 1: India’s determination to fight the scourge of terrorism is bringing desired results as the zero tolerance towards terrorism by PM Narendra Modi has effectively helped in containing the menace with nearly 40 percent decline registered in fresh recruitment of youths in terror ranks.
This was stated by Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta after inaugurating Iron Addiction Gym in Bathindi area here on Sunday.
Addressing a gathering, he said that the Kashmir policy envisaged by PM Modi has started giving positive results with terrorism vanishing from the soil of J&K and a considerable decrease in the fresh recruitment of locals into proscribed terrorist outfits. He said that this change in the Valley is all due to the pragmatic approach of the BJP Government led by PM Modi as the same has won the hearts of the people and those who were alienated earlier have preferred to rejoin the mainstream.
Citing the figures shared by JKP that there is 37 percent decline in youths joining terror ranks, he said that the situation has become favourable due to right decisions taken by the Modi Government at the right time.
He said that the dispensations which used to rule the country earlier never wanted to solve the Kashmir imbroglio because it used to help them in electoral contests. He said that like many other vital decisions, PM Modi has taken a strong stand on Kashmir and the result is before all as the Valley is fast returning to normalcy and the youths are going for career and academics rather than longing for weapon training and acquiring bombs and guns.
Meanwhile, in his message to the youths coming for physical training in gyms, he said that there is no comparison between the healthy and fit body of an agile young lad and that of a drug addict. He said that youths should be streamlined in a way that they don’t have time to destroy their lives through substance abuse and drugs. He said that the BJP government has created such an atmosphere in the country that everyone including young, old, women and children wanted to become nation builders and this is a great transformation giving ample scope to one and all to contribute in making India one of the superpowers in the world. He also complemented Mohd Rafeeq for opening the gym.
Among others who were present include Member Parliament, Ghulam Ali Khatana, Raj Kumar Chairman Health and Sanitation Committee JMC, Rekha Mahajan District President President, Divya Jain, Karuna Chhetri, Pummy Choudhary, Mohd Alam, Mir Alam Sadeeq, Riyaz Ahmad, Salman Khan, Gulab Singh, Jagdish Raj, Mahi Bhagat anf Sofian Shah.
