1/18/2023 10:46:04 PM

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Jan 18: In pursuance to the directions of Hon’ble LG Shri Manoj Sinha to provide citizen friendly online delivery of benefits of government schemes and able guidance of Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, the Information Technology Department J&K, in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) of the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology(MeitY) on Wednesday organised a Workshop for the nodal officers of all the administrative departments on the usage of “myScheme” portal – the one stop search and discovery platform for the citizens for availing Government assisted benefits.
More than 80 officers of various departments were trained in the workshop who shall in turn train other stakeholders in their departments, taking myscheme and its benefits to the grassroots level. The myScheme portal will reduce the effort of users by doing away with the requirement of searching multiple websites of Government departments, and studying multiple schemes to check the eligibility of individual schemes.
During the workshop, the officers were also informed and sensitized about Rapid Assessment System (RAS), UMANG and usage of DigiLocker platform.
It was given out that e-Governance is penetrating down up to the Panchayat level and training and capacity-building programs such as the present one are imperative to ensure the percolation of these schemes to the very last citizen of UT of J&K.
Abhishek Sharma, CEO JaKeGA briefed the participants regarding the various path breaking initiatives taken to ensure hassle free, prompt and fair delivery of benefits to citizens, the primary among them being the myscheme portal. He also discussed the API Setu which shall serve as a repository of various applications of different departments. The training sessions were carried out by the myScheme experts Pranav Upadhyay, General Manager, Anoop Kumar, Consultant and Aditya, Onboarding Executive from National e-Governance Division, MeitY.
Satish Sharma, Additional Secretary, IT Department thanked all the officers who attended the workshop and stated that sensitisation of Nodal officers regarding myScheme #Governmentschemesforyou is a major step towards creating awareness about them across all departments.
Neha Bakshi, Under Secretary, ITD and team of SeMT consultants Puneet Kant, Aijaz and Manpreet managed and coordinated the event.
