DC Reasi discusses rollout of APDP

REASI, Jan 19: District Development Commissioner Reasil, Babila Rakwal today chaired a meeting of officers to discuss and devise an effective mechanism for the rollout of Aspirational Panchayat Development Programme (APDP) in the district.
At the outset, threadbare discussion was held on identified indicators, effective mechanism for timely collection of data and other aspects of APDP.
On the occasion, the CPO gave a detailed overview about the rollout of APDP and its significance in future planning of least performing panchayats.
She further informed that Administrative Council has accorded sanction to the rollout of APDP in 285 most backward panchayats (one panchayat per block) as Aspirational Panchayats in the UT of J&K with the aim to improve and uplift the socio-economic development scenario of these panchayats on selected parameters through convergence and additional financial support.
A detailed discussion was held on all parameters pertaining to various departments under different categories including basic infrastructure, environment, Governance, skill development and others of the panchayats.
DDC impressed upon all the departments that realistic and authentic data should be collected on identified indicators and best possible efforts should be put in place while collecting the data and the whole exercise should be completed by 31st January, 2023.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC stressed upon all the departments to start data collection of the parameters pertaining to their departments of all 153 panchayats in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Jyoti Slathia; CPO, Sunita Kanchan; PO, ICDS Anwar Panday; ACD, CMO and other district and sectoral officers.
