Five day training programme of Business Studies concludes at JKSCERT

JAMMU, Feb 4: A five day training programme on Content Enrichment and Pedagogical Approach in the teaching of Business Studies concluded today at JKSCERT Jammu. This programme was organized by Department of Education in Social Sciences, Humanities, Commerce and Science from 31st Jan.to 4th Feb.2023 under the mentorship of H.R. Pakhroo, worthy Joint Director JKSCERT Jammu and supervision of Dr. Neeraj Jandial, Associate Professor ,H.O.D. Education in Social Sciences, Humanities, Commerce and Science, JKSCERT Jammu.
Surjeet Kumar, Professor and Head ,Academic Unit-III, gave welcome address on the inaugural day. While addressing the gathering, he said that Commerce subject especially Business Studies plays a vital role in the well-being and economic upliftment of any organization. He added that this training programme will help the lecturers in commerce in honing the skills of young children in the fields of commerce and economics and hence help the nation to achieve the desired goals at the earliest. F.A. Fayaz, Joint Director, Central Move Office, JKSCERT Jammu also spoke on the occasion. Other dignitaries who were present on the occasion were Swaran Singh Jaral, Professor, N.P. Singh, Associate Professor, Pawan Gupta, Assoc. Prof., Vinod Mahajan, Assoc. Prof. and Kishore Kumar, Assoc. Prof. JKSCERT Jammu.
The programme was attended by 50 lecturers in commerce from all the districts of Jammu Division. The objective of this programme was to enhance the subject knowledge and pedagogical skills in teaching of Business Studies at senior secondary level. Resource persons in the programme were Dr. Pawan Gupta, Associate Professor, GDC Samba, Harpreet Kaur Sr. Lect. GBHSS Gandhinagar, Charandeep Handa, Assistant Professor, SPMR College of Commerce, Dr. Atul Hans, Manu Vasudeva, Sr. Lect. GGHSS Muthi, Bindia Balwal, A.O. and Dr. Harpreet Kour, Sr.A.O., Rakesh Chobber, A.O. JKSCERT Jammu.
