Women Empowerment
2/10/2023 11:32:05 PM

President Droupadi Murmu while inaugurating a national convention on ‘Women as Foundation of Value-based Society’ recently stated that the mindset about the role of women in the society has to change.
She emphasized on the need for the people to understand that the time has changed and so has the role of women.
Mindset that bringing up children and managing home are the only responsibilities of women has to change.
President Murmu’s message was clear i.e. women are sharing equal responsibilities with men and the society needs to recognize their contribution.
Working women have to shoulder the responsibility of home too along with the office and they should get more support from the family.
The women who have got the support of their families have attained success in their respective fields and are shining like stars.
Many women have set examples and are leading from the front. They have become inspirations for their counterparts.
The empowerment of women means the empowerment of the entire family.
As of date the participation of women has increased in many fields. They are doctors, engineers, lawyers and entrepreneurs. Besides managing their homes women are managing their homes meticulously.
Women have always shouldered equal responsibilities with men but have faced discrimination and gender bias.
It’s an established fact that society cannot run without women and even in 21st century they are not getting what they deserve.
Women give everything to their families and she never discriminates between her children. She is the first teacher in the family who not only introduces the child to the family-members and environment, but to the world.
She inculcates the moral values into the child and plays an important role in ensuring that her children become the responsible members of the society.
Time has changed and with that mindset and attitude of the men towards the women folk needs to change.
They have to understand that women deserve all the respect and honour. Men need to treat the women equally and it has to begin from the homes. The menace of dowry and other evils need to be uprooted to make the society vibrant.
