Newly created Chief Er, XEn Offices all set to start function from April 2023

RAJOURI, Feb 10: The newly created Executive Engineers PWD Divisions, AEE Subdivision and Office of the Chief Engineer PWD in the Rajouri district are all set to start function from April, 2023.
To give a push towards their functioning, District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal discussed the necessities in this regard here in a meeting. The meeting laid stress on early and smooth functioning of the newly established offices and the steps that need to be taken to make the offices operational from April 1, 2023 as per the date communicated by the Government.
The District Development Commissioner stressed on the importance of these offices in addressing the infrastructure needs of the district and enhancing the overall development of the region.
The meeting was informed that the Government has sanctioned one Chief Engineer Office for Rajouri, three XEn Offices for Thanamandi, Kotranka, and Kalalote, and respective AEE subdivisions, and it is essential to make them functional as per the dates communicated by the Government. It was discussed that the XEn Divisions and AEE Subdivision will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely execution of development projects in the district, while the Office of the Chief Engineer PWD will be responsible for supervising and monitoring the development works carried out by the department.
The District Development Commissioner emphasised on the need to provide necessary infrastructure and manpower to these offices for effective and efficient functioning.
The officials present in the meeting were directed to work in coordination with each other to ensure seamless functioning of the offices and the smooth implementation of various development projects in the district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner concerned and ACR were directed to identify suitable lands for the construction of the office buildings at the earliest.
It was decided in the meeting that existing Dak Bunglows, huts, Rest Houses of PWD Department and other Government buildings shall be used to the extent possible for housing of newly created offices for their timely operation.
The meeting was attended by the ACR, Imran Kataria; Chief Medical Officer; Mohammad Khurshid, SE PWD; Kamal Kishore Gupta, XEn Nowshera; Bikram Singh, XEn Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain, AEEs concerned.
