DDC Poonch chairs RKS meet; reviews functioning of DH

POONCH, Feb 13: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today reviewed the functioning of district hospital here at a meeting of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS)- as the Chairman of the Committee.
Among others present in the meeting were PO ICDS, Khalid Hussain; Chief Medical Officer; Dr. Anees, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Zulfakar Ahmed; Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Division Poonch; Executive Engineer PDD, Xen Jal Shakti, District Ayush Officer and District Social Welfare Officer.
Chairman Municipal Committee Poonch Sunil Sharma, members RKS Taj Mir, Surjan Singh, Naresh Chander, Prem lata Sudan and others were also present.
The Medical Superintendent, who is also the Member Secretary of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (R.K.S) welcomed the chair and members of RKS. He gave a detailed review of ATR of previous meeting and functioning of district hospital
The DDC took a comprehensive review of the functioning of the institution. The issues like power & water supply, cleanliness, drainage and sanitation, availability of medicine, Patient Care etc. He further directed the concerned to take adequate steps to improve the services.
While speaking on the occasion, the Chairman Municipal Council Poonch gave suggestions to further improve the health services and underlined the need to meet on regular intervals to take effective decisions for the progress of the hospital. He also praised the functioning of the hospital.
During the deliberations, RKS member Advocate Iftikhar Ahmed Bazmi called for initiating further improvement in the functioning of the de-addiction centre.
The RKS Members Taj Mir, Surjan Singh, Naresh Chander Councillor W. No 7 and many other officials of different departments also expressed their opinion.
The schemes which are being implemented in the hospital were also highlighted.
The DDC directed the PWD and PDD department to take necessary steps to resolve the power supply and toilet problems.
The Medical Superintendent presented the vote of thanks to the chair and R.K.S members.
