JAMMU, Feb 18: Chief Patron Subash Gupta Principal District Session Judge (Retd) , Neeraj Gupta president, Shailender Vaid Senior Vice-President, Arun Gupta Vice-President, Rajesh Gupta, Rakesh Gupta, Munish Gupta General secretaries Anil Gupta Secretary and Cashier, Monika Gupta Mahila Wing General Secretary, Pankaj Vaid, Apurav Gupta Dr Priyanka Gupta, Nippun Gupta, Vishal Gupta others were present on the occasion.
In the program First they paid Obeisance in the feet of Lord Shiva, After that they inaugurated Bhandara for general public, performed langer sewa and distributed Langer among people present there .
Heavy number of devotees pays obeisance to Lord Shiva.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Patron MSS Subash Gupta greets Public on this holy occasion and said the festival of Mahashivratri is being celebrated with high enthusiasm and religious fervor across world .
He said During this entire day devotees performed various dance with drum beats and chanted bhajans in favour of Lord Shiva with zeal and gaiety.
He said on this day people also perform kalash yatra and Maha Yagya which holds a very high importance since time immemorial and it literally means devotion, sacrifice, offering and worship and refers to any ritual done in front of sacred fire, often with mantras.
He appreciated organisers and said on this day people organises various programs like bhandaras and Shiv vivah across country which is highly appreciable and said lord Shiva will bless all with health, wealth and prosperity.
Shailender Vaid greeted public on this holy occasion and said MahaShivratri is big festival of hindud which is Celebrated across whole country. On this day people performed Shiv Vivah at various different sites. MSS bows down in the feet of Lord Shiva and prays for the peace and well being of our Nation and J&K.
Vaid said Lord Shiva is Generater, Destroyer and Operator of whole Universe. He is also Care taker of every living thing present on this earth and BJP is praying for Happiness and peace of Jammu Kashmir.
Neeraj Gupta said it is known as Maha Shivratri which means the great night of Shiva. It is observed by remembering lord Shiva. Devotees chants Shiva prayers, Fasting themselves and performs various religious function on this day.
He also appreciated the bhandara Organisers and said these types of social activists are boon to humanity and he thanked whole Organising committee and public for making this a successful event and he appealed the whole Public to come forward in big numbers and join this program.
