Kavinder slams Mehbooba for obnoxious statements, terms it as frustration of being out of power

Early Times Report

JAMMU, Feb 19: Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader has slammed People’s Democratic Party chief and former CM Mehbooba Mufti for making obnoxious and irrelevant statements time and again.
In a statement issued here today, Kavinder said by issuing such statements Mehbooba Mufti is giving vent to her utter frustration due to staying away from power after enjoying power in J&K for two generations.
It is pertinent to mention that Mehbooba Mufti stoked a fresh controversy by linking BJP leaders with Mughals.
Kavinder asked Mehbooba to must use Google before giving any statement. Hinduism is not founded by a person or a prophet. About 6000 years ago, there was only one religion in the whole world, whose name was Sanatana Dharma, he said, adding that the Sanatana Dharma was practised under different name across the world before Islam was founded.
Clarifying over the role of Congress in Independence, the senior BJP leader reminded the PDP leader that before Independence Congress was just a movement not any political Party and Gandhi ji was also in favour of dissolving the Congress after attaining the freedom from Britishers.
The former Dy Chief Minister said that Mehbooba is amongst such leaders who have lost their political ground among the masses across J&K Union Territory and even in their home constituencies, right upto the grass roots level. Seeing their future quite bleak in the coming time with no hope of coming back to power, she feels that she would be able to get support of some people in her constituency least realizing that people understand her game-plan and can’t be befooled any more now, he added.
Kavinder said that there is a segment in Kashmiri leadership in J&K which is habitual of raising fingers on the working of government despite the fact that every step which the government has taken in the past has proved benevolent for the people of J&K especially Kashmir as on record the common man in the Valley is coming out in full support of government for the steps it has taken in carrying out development, crushing the terrorism and restoring peace and normalcy. He said J&K is witnessing unprecedented tempo of development since the BJP has taken over the reins of Centre. He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to extend overwhelmed support to the BJP in the upcoming elections in the Union Territory.
