Terrorism on decline
2/19/2023 11:03:06 PM

Recently, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah stated that the country has seen an 80% decline in violence from terrorism in Kashmir, insurgency in the Northeast and left-wing extremism under Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government.
After Narendra Modi took over the reins of the country in 2014, he made it amply clear that terrorism and extremism won’t be tolerated and talks with Pakistan cannot be held till it stops supporting terrorism.
Policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism has worked.
The surgical strikes and Balakot airstrike sent a clear message to terrorists sitting in Pakistan that if they indulge in any misadventure in the Indian territory they would get a befitting reply.
Tough steps taken by the PM Modi led regime led to the decline in violence and the terror acts. Terrorists and their bosses are aware that India has changed and the Indian Army can cross the LoC and hit them hard in their dens.
After the scrapping of Article 370, stern steps have been taken in Kashmir to end separatism and terrorism.
The security agencies have been successful in destroying the terror eco-system in Kashmir. Terror supporters have been identified and nailed.
The main aim of the government has been to establish peace rather than buying it.
Security forces are taking stern action against the guilty and the innocents aren’t being even touched.
It’s after a long time India has got a strong Prime Minister like Narendra Modi, who has sent a clear message to the world that no one can take India for granted and if anyone casts an evil eye towards it he will have to face the consequences.
By not talking to Pakistan PM Modi led dispensation has driven home a point that talks cannot be held for the sake of talks and terrorism has to end for any meaningful dialogue to take place.
India is moving fast and has become the fifth largest economy in the world. The terrorism has been controlled and the message is clear that interference in the internal matters of India won’t be tolerated.
