Kashmir neta’s awkward post annoys Govt
2/26/2023 10:42:39 PM

Early Times Report

Srinagar, Feb 26: In a shocking development, a neta from Kashmir, who is also an elected representative of an elected body in Srinagar and at a prominent position had posted a grossly awkward post on the social media annoying the government.
Sources said the said politician last night posted a tweet on his Twitter handle wherein he alleged that some former ministers wanted to kill him in league with some others.
Sources said the post was so awkward that many couldn’t believe that someone who holds a “responsible government position” will make such irresponsible statement that too on the public media. The screenshot of the post was shared on the WhatsApp by many.
A senior official told the Early Times on the condition of anonymity that it was “disgusting to read such a post.”
“A government functionary has to behave responsibly and in a disciplined way and not like a stray animal. This person has been putting the government to awkward situation quite often than before,” said the official.
Sources said the said politician apprehends action into allegations of corruption against him and thus wants to play “victim card.”
“Every time he apprehends action against his corrupt practices, he either becomes separatist online or tries to target government… This is grossly unbecoming of a government functionary,” said his colleagues.
It was only this morning that the said person removed his post.
Meanwhile the sources said the matter has been brought to the notice of the Raj Bhawan and the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
“Such things cannot be taken casually because such loose cannons can only put the government to embarrassment anytime,” said one elected representative.
Sources said there were numerous complaints of corruption against the said person and that it was likely that the government may initiate action against him in the coming days.
Despite repeated attempts the politician in question couldn’t be contacted for comments.
