DDC reviews physical, financial progress of works under District Capex

KISHTWAR, Mar 2: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review physical and financial progress made under District Capex budget 2022-23 and to initiate action for the preparations of District Capex Budget 2023-24.
The DDC took a comprehensive review of the physical and financial achievements of the works being executed by different departments including Jal Shakti, PDD, PMGSY, PWD, RDD, Health and Education under various components of the District Capex budget in the district. In the meeting, the chair was apprised that a total of 1823 number of works under UT Capex have been completed up to February 2023 and Rs 33 crore (Approx.) of fund has been utilized.
Moreover under Centrally Sponsored Schemes 32896 works have been completed by incurring the expenditure of 184.14 crores (approx.) so far, he was informed.
DDC on the occasion directed for cent percent completion of works and booking of expenditure before the end of the current financial year as the resumption of favourable weather is the best opportunity to complete the pending works.
He directed the BDO and concerns executive agencies to mobilize the resources and machinery on ground to speed up the pace of the works besides ensuring the quality of works executed.
While initiating action for preparation of the upcoming financial year, 2023-24, the DDC directed all district and sectoral officers to complete the plan preparations by 10th of March 2023.
He also instructed the concerned officers to submit the Administrative Estimates of passenger sheds by today evening and initiate the works on the open gyms to be established at identified public places of various blocks of district, immediately.
Meanwhile, ADDC Kishtwar instructed the departments to focus on the saturation of indicators under the Aspirational Block Development programme in the twin blocks of Marwah and Warwan.
He informed the chair that series of block wise meetings to discuss the modalities for plan formulation for the FY 2023-24 have been held since last week by involving the local PRIs, BDC Chairperson, DDC members and concerned departments in order to ensure a fool proof Plan is prepared in time bound manner.
During the meeting District Development Commissioner Kishtwar also enlisted the proposed projects which shall be taken up in the upcoming Fiscal Plan on priority.
