BJP's marvellous victory in 3 Northeast states result of Modi Govt's pro-people policies: Kavinder
3/2/2023 10:45:10 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 2: Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader while welcoming the party's excellent performance in the three Northeast States namely Nagaland, Tripura and Meghalaya has asserted that this victory yet again proved that the BJP Govt at the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has succeeded in formulation and implementation of common people centric policies. Moreover, it shows that people are happy and satisfied with the par excellence governance of the BJP Govt and the party is going to break all the previous records in the next Parliamentary elections.
The former Dy Chief Minister expressed this during a meeting at Channi Himmat here today.
It is pertinent to mention here that the people of Ward No: 50 and 51 participated in the meeting to highlight their grievances. The meeting was organized by Kulbir Charak and prominent among those present on the occasion were Corporator Raj Kumar and Shrimati Neena Gupta.
The people of the aforesaid wards submitted a memorandum to former Deputy Chief Minister highlighting the significant issue of conversion of leasehold into freehold ownership to the lessees.
In the memorandum they have demanded review of New J&K Housing Board Policy with respect to lease deed/ sale deed/ free hold rights, all types of transfers/ double plots, regularisation of excess area etc. It has been alleged that due to the new J&K Housing Board Policy the leasehold right holders/ owners of the plots of J&K Housing Board are suffering harassment at the hands of Managing Director of JK Housing Board as the MD is compelling the allottees to give an undertaking to construct the house within two months of taking possession which is quite unjustified as there might be some economic or family issues besides financial priorities due to which it might not be possible to start construction immediately. Moreover, the MD has been displaying unruly behaviour, it alleges.
The memorandum also demands time limit of 21 days to complete process of transferring leasehold rights, amending the stamp duty on the plots besides doing away with the long list of formalities for selling leasehold right of their plots like obtaining NOC, Allotment letters, affidavits from buyer and seller duly attested from 1st Class Magistrates, which is again unjustified and sheer harassment of the leaseholders in the hands of concerned MD.
After giving a patient hearing to the people, Kavinder Gupta said that Administration should always frame people friendly policies. He said that like Trikuta Nagar, it should also grant free hold to the residents of Channi Himmat area. Moreover Govt should not compel any citizen to construct the house within time bound period as it is not possible for anyone to do so due to multiple factors.
Kavinder appealed to the Administration to reconsider their decision of JK Housing Board and grant free hold rights to people of Channi Himmat area.
Corporator Raj Kumar and Shrimati Neena Gupta assured the people that they will fight for their rights and will also take up this significant issue with Lt Governor Manoj Sinha.
Those who were present on the occasion included Jagdish Langer, Jagdish Ramnath President Panj Mandir Committee, Onkar Sharma, Surinder Kohli, Sanjeev Gupta, Anil Gupta, Vishal Sharma, Ajay Chandok, Abrol ji, Parveen Gupta, Vishal Malhotra, Prem Sagar Gupta, Jugal Kishore Gupta former Jammu Chamber President, Adarsh Pandoh, Tarlok Chand ji, Anil Sony, Sanjeev Gupta, Anil Gupta, Karan Singh, Vishawdeep Gupta, Sudershan Gupta and Bhakhri.
