BAJ organizes handing over taking over ceremony

Jammu, Mar 2: With the successful conclusion of elections of office-bearers of Bar Association Jammu, the newly elected team of office-bearers were formally handed over the charge of the Association in an impressive ‘Handing over-Taking over’ ceremony organised in the conference hall of the Justice Vinod Kumar Gupta immemorial Bar Hall, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Jammu.
This was for the first time in the history of the Bar Association Jammu that the handing over- taking over ceremony of the Charge of Bar Association was attended by of the majority of the members of the Association in a jam-packed conference hall.
The function began with a profuse thanks-giving to the members of the Election-committee comprising advocates S. M.P. Singh Palli, Sh. V.B. Gupta, Sh. C.S. Gupta, Farooq Ahmed Natnoo, Surjeet Singh Andotra, Sh. Aditya Sharma, S. Amandeep Singh, Zaffar Choudhary, Jyoti Sharma, whose valuable contribution helped conducting the elections in the most fair and transparent manner.
The committee-members were thanked in recognition of their sincere and tire-less efforts in successfully concluding the elections.
M.K. Bhardwaj, Sr. Adv. Former President welcomed the newly elected President & Sr. Adv. Vikram Sharma to the stage while highlighting the success of the J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu, during tenure of the team of office-bearers headed by Sh. M.K. Bhardwaj, Sr. Advocate, the former General Secretary of the Bar Association Jammu Sh. Surjeet Singh Andotra, Advocate, narrated the numerous efforts towards raising of the infrastructure for the betterment of the lawyers community.
M.K. Bhardwaj, Sr. Advocate and out-going President, congratulated the elected President Vikram Sharma, Sr. Advocate and his team of office-bearers Amit Gupta, Vice President, Parvesh Singh Salaria, General secretary, Chetan Misri, Joint Secretary & Mr. Utkarsh Pathania, Treasurer.
In his usually impressive delivery M.K. Bhardwaj expressed his heart-felt thanks for the guidance and support of Bar members in this tenure.
However, Mr. Bhardwaj thanked the members to have successfully by electing the present team of office-bearers of the Bar Association. Vikram Sharma, Sr. Advocate and President in his address exhorted the Bar members to keep him and his newly team guided to enable the team to achieve the agenda set by the members and to restore the dignity and prestige of the Association.
He asserted, with a thunderous applause of the full House, that with an unstinted support of the Bar members, advise of the senior members and aid of the young lawyers, the team headed by him will leave no stone unturned in raising the prestige and honour of the lawyers fraternity in general and High Court Bar Association in particular.
Regarding the issues of general masses, Vikram Sharma, Sr. Adv, asserted that the Bar Association has always stood for the concerns of the Jammunities and will carry the said tradition in its true spirit.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks by Parvesh Singh Salaria, General Secretary where after a light tea was organised for the Bar esteemed members.
