Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 4: Infighting in the Jammu and Kashmir Panthers Party took an interesting turn as expelled working president P K Ganju-led delegation of the party met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday.
Interestingly, P K Ganju was expelled from the primary membership of the party on Friday by Ankit Love- chief patron of the Panther Party.
Ankit Love is the son of the founder of the Panthers Party Prof Bhim Singh.
“A delegation of J&K National Panthers Party called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation led by it working president P K Ganju appreciated the efforts of UT administration in ensuring a peaceful environment and unprecedented development in the UT.
The delegation also discussed ongoing development projects and initiatives for the welfare of the people and submitted a memorandum of important public issues”, a handout issued by the party reads.
Ganju was expelled for spreading miss information and grossly violating the party constitution. Ankit Love further warned any other party members that continue to associate with him are expelled too.
Love stated “PK Ganju must seize using his father Prof Bhim Singh’s image and name for furthering his own agenda and collecting money in the name of his father. Not only was that immoral but also a violation of intellectual property rights. Love questioned where PK Ganju had the funds to host expensive meetings and party activities as his occupation was as a freelance journalist. Love hoped this was not linked to money that had been removed from Prof. Bhim Singh’s accounts and bank cards following his death”.
Infighting in the Panthers Party started after the demise of the founder of the party Prof. Bhim Singh who died on May 3, 2022.
A group within the party nominated a prominent lawyer Vilakshan as the new president of the party, and another faction on already announced that P. K. Ganju will function as working president till such time fresh elections are held for the new president.
On June 19, 2022 Panthers Party announced Vilakshan Singh, an advocate as the new president of the party after the demise of Prof. Bhim Singh.
The announcement was made at party headquarters in Jammu after a meeting of the party leaders and members of the Working Committee chaired by Jay Mala, wife of Prof. Bhim Singh and the founder member of the party.
Another faction termed the appointment of Vilakshan Singh unconstitutional and illegal.
“Vilakshan Singh, who is a family member, as the nephew of late Prof Bhim Singh declaring himself as the self-styled president of Panthers Party is condemned as unconstitutional null and void, mischievous, misleading and bad in the eyes of laws”, leaders of another faction said.
