IGNOU launches Bachelors programme in Applied Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu

JAMMU, Mar 7: The School of Humanities of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has recently launched the Bachelors Degree programmes in Applied Sanskrit, Applied Hindi and Applied Urdu for the ongoing January 2023 session. These programmes would be offered in the Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode. The eligibility requirement to apply for the said programmes is that the student must have successfully completed Class 12th from a recognized education (state or national) board.
The main idea of these programmes is to make students familiar with and proficient in these languages and with the introduction of these programmes, a variety of new employment opportunities would be made available to the students of Sanskrit, Hindi and Urdu according to the needs of present day along with the traditional study of the languages.
"While designing these programmes, strong emphasis has been made on skill development with skill-oriented courses like translation, newspaper and feature writing, mathematics and e-commerce", said Dr. Sandeep Gupta, Regional Director In charge.
With the availability of facilities like Flexible entry and exit, modular programme design and multiple entry exit options, Choice Based Credit System, affordable fees, multimedia based teaching learning using all latest technologies and satellite based study options, presence of Learner Support Centers all across the country, the students can pursue their programmes at their ease and convenience.
The desirous candidates who wish to seek admission in any of these programmes can avail this opportunity apply online for any of the programmes of their choice well before the last date which is 10th March, 2023.
Before filling the admission form online, a candidate needs to create a User ID and Password on the SAMARTH portal and be ready with a Mobile No., Email ID, properly scanned academic documents, photograph and Bank Debit /Credit/Net Banking for payment of fee. Applicants can access the IGNOU admission portal 2023 at www.ignou.ac.in or directly following the link https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
