DC, SSP interact with Youth of North East under Yuva Sangam programme

JAMMU, Mar 7: Twenty Eight Youth (Students) from North East (Assam), who are on a seven days tour to UT of J&K, reached here yesterday. The youth are on tour under the Yuva Sangam Programme and Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat Campaign.
Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Mahajan, along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom today interacted with the youth at Dak Bungalow Doda.
The students shared their views and learning experience during the weeklong tour to UT of Jammu and Kashmir. The students narrate their travel experiences, the sites visited and how this visit changed their perception regarding the ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir. They applauded the efforts of UT administration and district administration Doda for warm and unforgettable hospitality.
DC gave them a brief description of the history and culture. He also apprised them of the tourist destinations of the Jammu province in general and district Doda in particular. The students shall be in the district for two days during which administration has planned their tour to Snow capped Guldanda, Gatha Park, interaction with students and locals, visit to under construction Khellani tunnel and showcasing historic Temples/Places of Bhaderwah and Doda.
The youth expressed gratitude to the government for giving them this opportunity to know about the diverse culture, languages, and architecture of the UT.
Welcoming the students, DC said that traveling to different places itself is a valuable experience during which people get to learn different aspects of life and advised them to share their experience with their families and friends and motivate them to visit this beautiful unseen part of the world so that the people of Doda get a chance to showcase their rich culture, natural beauty and hospitality.
