Inner Wheel Club holds meet

JAMMU, Mar 12: Women is a Creator - A special meeting of Inner Wheel Club (IWC) Jammu Tawi, was held at Asia Hotel, Jammu. Distt Chairman Dr Satinder Nijjar graced the occasion as chief guest. IWC is an All Women Club, with branches in almost all the countries of the world. In addition to working for welfare of Underprivileged and poor, the Club also gives a platform to women to develop friendship and social interaction.
President IWC Jammu Tawi Paramjit Kaur organized a meeting of IWC, Jammu Tawi.The meeting was held to present annual activities and Budget of the Club to the Dist Chairman Dr Satinder Nijjar. Two important projects were undertaken, firstly, Introductory talk on a useful Words App " My Life Saver" was done by Nidhi Mahajan, which can prove to be of immense use during accidents/ emergencies. The second project was celebrating Women Day. As a special Guest, Wing Commander Punam Gill from Indian Air Force was invited to give out her success story, to motivate the audience. She was felicitated by the Chief Guest followed by a big round of applause and appreciation for the motivational talk delivered by her.
Welcome Speech and Introductory remarks were presented by President Paramjit Kaur. Secretary Gurvinder Kaur presented the Annual Report. PDC Dr Santosh welcomed the chief guest and appreciated the performance of the club. Five new members were inducted to IWC, Jammu Tawi. Dr Satinder Nijjar emphasized that Women must assert themselves to make a difference in Society. Women have always been worshiped and respected in Indian Culture as a source of Strength, who can fit in multiple roles of a mother, wife, able administrator, home maker etc. She called upon members to take on projects related to Women Empowerment. The Stage was managed by Ms Pooja Malhotra. The function concluded with a recital of the National Anthem.
