Opposition cannot regain lost ground by APMs: Kavinder

JAMMU, Mar 12: With agendas which are poles apart the divided opposition in Jammu and Kashmir cannot regain its lost ground as tie-ups between small groups will boomerang rather than giving any political edge to parties like NC, PDP and Congress.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta while addressing a meeting of BJP South District under the Booth Sashaktikaran Abhiyan (booth strengthening campaign).
Kavinder said that Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar from NC, Mehbooba Mufti from PDP or for that matter any other opposition party leader in J&K cannot fight BJP because all of them have lost the credibility by hoodwinking the people number of times in the past. He said that BJP with its nationalist policies and treating the different regions at par has win over the hearts of people and therefore the party has become a force to reckon with.
The senior BJP leader said that Dr Farooq's all party meeting was a failure because it received a poor response with many parties showing indifference towards conventional tantrums of NC patron, who is doing all this to make impossible possible, which is something far from reality as NC, PDP and Congress leadership has lost relevance in UT's politics after being exposed by nationalist BJP. He said that small parties' alignment in different groups has made it amply clear that opposition is divided and directionless therefore the victory of BJP in the ensuing Assembly battle is inevitable.
Meanwhile, Kavinder asked the party cadre not to take elections lightly as he was of the opinion that under no circumstances the party should consider the opponents weak. He stressed on taking things very seriously especially at the booth level. He was speaking at Ward No 54 in Bahu Assembly Constituency. Kavinder asked the party cadre to move along in a very systematic way to ensure thumping victory in the upcoming Assembly polls in J&K. He said that the ground level worker is the main ambassador of the party and his or her responsibility is the most significant one.
