Govt's zero tolerance against terrorism will entail long lasting peace: Kavinder
3/13/2023 10:16:45 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 13: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Monday asserted that the BJP Governemnt's zero tolerance policy against terrorism will soon bring lasting peace in Jammu and Kashmir as already remarkable changes have been witnessed in the UT.
In a statement issued to media persons, the BJP stalwart said that the way the security forces and other agencies have tightened noose around terror mongers the days are not far when the Jammu and Kashmir will become totally free from terrorism. He said that the way the Jammu and Kashmir Police's Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has attached a house of an accused involved in alleged terrorist activities in Anantnag, it becomes amply clear that Modi Government's strong resolve to make J&K the most peaceful region is soon going to become a reality.
Kavinder said that people by now have understood well that the so-called regional parties have hoodwinked the people just to satiate their own vested interests and it is only BJP which considers nation first and everything else secondary. He said that a vote for BJP means a vote for peace and development of J&K and therefore every single citizen should ensure that their votes should be utilized for the betterment of J&K and not to rejuvenate terror and tumult, which has ruined the region in the last over three decades.
The former Dy Chief Minister said that the PM's decision to give full powers to security forces to handle terrorism has brought in exemplary changes in Valley and today stone-pelting has become a thing of the past and encounters which are taking place are only meant for neutralizing the terrorists as terror strikes have also become extinct.
Later, Kavinder Gupta met with deputation from Village Dharap and listened to their issues.
The deputation comprised of Vinay Gupta, Mohan Singh, Baldev Singh, Maqsood Ahmad Chowdhary, Rajinder Lambardar, Sonu Shiv Nagar and Ch Girdhari Lal.
