BJP dared to abrogate Art 370 & ensured equal rights to deprived including Gorkhas: Kavinder

JAMMU, Mar 19: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Dy Chief Minister has asserted that by daring to abrogate Article 370 and 35A, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has done what no other Govt could dare to do so as a result of which today every sections of the society including the Gorkhas have been bestowed equal rights while as for over seven decades they were deprived of their rights. He said that the hollow policies of successive regimes headed by National Conference and Congress were responsible for the blatant injustice met to these communities for over seventy years.
The former Deputy Chief Minister expressed this while addressing a gathering of people while conducting a tour of Ward No: 48, Gorkha Nagar here today. Prominent among those accompanying Kavinder Gupta were Ayodhya Gupta, Vivek Pattal, Karuna Khetri, Sunny Sangotra, Naseeb Singh, Munish Adhikari, Ajay Kumar, Capt Moti Ram and Sahil Kumar.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that Article 370 was the biggest hurdle in the path of development of the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State. Moreover it deprived multiple sections of the society of their due rights. It was a great hindrance in the complete integration of J&K with the rest of India, he said, adding that as of today the erstwhile State stands fully integrated with the nation with people in J&K enjoying equal rights at par with the people across the nation.
During his visit to the aforesaid area of Bahu constituency, Kavinder Gupta interacted with people to take stock of the issues and problems faced by people of the area.
Kavinder Gupta after giving a patient hearing to the people, assured to get their issues addressed at the earliest by taking these with the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, the people of the area expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bestowing them equal rights at par with the citizens of the country by abrogating Art 370 from the erstwhile State.
