Free Fibroscan camp organised by Mahajan Sabha

JAMMU, Mar 19: A Free Fibroscan camp was today held by Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat at its office situated at Channi Himmat near Railway Crossing. The camp was held under the leadership of Vipan Gupta, President Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat in association with Dr. Rajesh Gupta, General Physician.
Special Invitee Neena Gupta –Corporator Ward No. 50 Channi Himmat was present on this occasion. Ashok Jandyal - Chairman, Raj Kumar Gupta - Senior Vice President, Mohan Lal Gupta & Kushvinder Gupta – Vice Presidents, Ashok Gupta – General Secretary, Dalip Gupta Secretary, Advocate Ishant Gupta – Publicity Secretary and Vishavdeep Gupta- Cashier, were the office bearers of Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat who were present on this occasion.
While briefing to media persons, Vipan Gupta said that Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat regularly works for the betterment of the society and has the legacy to organize such medical camps so that the people may get the benefit of getting diagnosed by experts at free of cost. He said that today Sabha has organized a free Medical Camp in which the people get the benefit to diagnose their liver and other related diseases by the latest use of technology known as “FIBROSCAN”. He said that this type of scan costs between Rs. 4000 to Rs. 5000 in private but today here in the camp the services provided to people are “Free of Cost”. He further said that Sabha is always trying its level best to remain in front for social causes and during COVID-19 pandemic, sabha has contributed a lot and worked for the welfare of people by distributing food packets, sanitizers, masks etc. He further said that Sabha regularly used to manage marriage bureau facilities free of cost so that the members may find the better one for their loved ones. Gupta further said that with the collective efforts of all the members, Sabha has now purchased land measuring 13 Marlas where a big community hall may be constructed soon and services like recreation centre for senior citizens where they can spend their idle and leisure time etc.
Dr. Rajesh Gupta said that Fibroscan is a type of Liver Special Ultrasound Technology that measures liver stiffness & fatty changes in the liver and can predict the outcome of liver diseases. These measurements can help health care providers learn more about the patient’s liver disease. He said today the lifestyle in which we people are living like eating junk food and all, it is very much important for everyone to get themselves diagnosed timely so that if required proper precautions may be taken on time. As many as 152 patients were screened for Liver diseases as part of Fibroscan in which they were detected to whether have severe liver disease, Liver Cirrhosis, Fibrosis, fatty Liver Disease or normal.
Neena Gupta thanked the sabha to invite her and also congratulate them for the initiative taken by them to provide free latest medical care facilities to the general public for the betterment of their health.
Advocate Ishant Gupta thanked the media persons for their support to make the public aware about the camp and also to provide media coverage to the great initiative taken by Mahajan Sabha Channi Himmat for noble cause.
All worthy members of Mahajan Sabha including other prominent citizens of Channi Himmat were present on this occasion.
