3/22/2023 10:45:28 PM

Early Times Report

KISHTWAR, Mar 22: To address the concerns of local residents, Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav visited panchayat Tagood of block Mughal Maidan and held a public grievance redressal camp today. At the camp, local residents and representatives raised issues related to infrastructure, health and education, as well as land compensation.
Dr Yadav inaugurated a passenger shed at Ramleela Ground Tagood, which was constructed by the Rural Development Department. He listened to the concerns of the residents and resolved many of them on the spot. He also forwarded necessary directions to relevant departments for prompt resolution of remaining grievances.
In response to a request to upgrade High School Tagood into a higher secondary school, Dr Yadav said that he would take up the matter with relevant authorities. Regarding pending land compensation, he informed landowners that their documents had been submitted and compensation would be disbursed soon. Dr Yadav also mentioned that the bottleneck on Tagood road had been cleared and work would be tendered out by April 2023.
During his visit to Tagood panchayat, Dr Devansh Yadav also dedicated a 1KW solar power backup to the local panchayat building and a Khidmat Center by the Agriculture Department. He announced that electricity and water supply at NTPHC Tagood would be addressed under District Capex 2023-24.
Dr Yadav urged panchayat members to identify a local youth who would be provided with a Community Leadership Executive course at IIM Jammu. This initiative is part of a collaboration between the District Administration Kishtwar and other stakeholders under Mission Youth Initiative for Youth Club Members across District Kishtwar. The training programme aims to equip young people with the skills needed to effectively implement and monitor community-level development schemes.
Later, Dr Yadav and other officials inspected the ongoing construction of High School Tagood and gave directions to expedite the work and ensure its completion within the stipulated time without compromising on quality.
Dr Devansh Yadav was accompanied by ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma, BDO Mughal Maidan, Saima Ramzan and CAO Kishtwar, Amjad Hussain Malik besides other officers and field functionaries.
