Jammu, Mar 26: Doon International School Jammu celebrated the Graduation Ceremony of the Phulwari section themed as EUPHORIA recognizing the unfathomable worth of the precious little moments of happiness. This Fest of Glee was a sigh of relief and an opportunity to spread optimism all around after two tough and unprecedented years of Covid-19 encapsulated with uncertainity.
Prof.Ashutosh Sharma , President Olympic Association Of J&K and Former Director of Physical Education J&K graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Er.Kiran Wattal (Vice President Gymnastics Federation,J&K), enhanced the ambience with his esteemed presence as the Guest of Honour. The Graduation Ceremony of Phulwari section of Jammu was successfully hosted by the Chairman of the school Mr. G.N Tantray , Vice chairman Mr.M.A.Tantray , Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur and Vice Principal Dr. Sarita Moza Koul .
The auditorium lit up with exuberance and excitement as the program commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the honourable dignitaries . Dr. Vikesh Kaur, Principal DIS Jammu formally welcomed the eminent guests and highlighted the stupendous accomplishments of the students and the institution during the tough two years of covid-19 as well as the present year . . .
This was followed by the academic and endowment award felicitation by the Chief Guest Prof.Ashutosh Sharma and other dignitaries . Speaking on the occasion Prof.Ashutosh Sharma said that the entire program was scrupulously planned and executed by the entire DIS team which showcase the commendable magnificence of the school where as Er..Kiran Wattal encouraged the students to participate in sports and other physical activities.
The cultural spectacle began with melodious welcome song by the teachers followed by an orchestration symphony which was a mingling of vocal and instrumental consonance mesmerising the audience with its soulful presentation.
The proficient DABS of DIS Jammu presented buoyant program depicting the feeling of elation and astounding zeal. Every performance exhibited abundant elegance, ardor and rhythmic contentment drawing a huge applause and heed from the audience. The hit of the celebration was the finale performance of Punjabi Bhangra and Hasya Mushaira which magnetically gripped the audience in its dramatic presentation.
Chairman of the School, Mr.G.N. Tantray, Principal Dr. Vikesh Kaur and Vice Chairman Mr. M.A.Tantray appreciated the exceptional venture of the entire staff and breathtaking performances of the students for making this celebration of Happiness named as Euphoria 2023 , a memorable one .
The vote of thanks was proposed by the Vice Principal Mrs. Sarita Moza Koul. The program culminated with the melodious presentation of the school’s song followed by the national anthem.The entire program was coordinated by the Chief coordinators and cultural heads of the school.
