Gymnasts brings laurels for J&K UT

Jammu, Apr 5: Gymnasts of J&K UT won 8 Medals including 1 Silver & 7 Bronze medals during the recently concluded 17th Sr. / Junior National Aerobic Gymnastics Championships & Sub Junior Rhythmic Gymnastics Chapionships at Bangaluru from 29-31 March, 2023.
The J&K won first Silver in the Senior Aerobic category of Aero Team comprising of Manvinder Singh, Sudipti Khanna, Kamal Chib, Mayank Jain, Honey Mehra, Inderdeep, Manav Gupta & Sahil Sahi whereas team of Maharashtra won Gold in this category & Karnataka won Bronze medal.
In the Mixed pair event of senior category Gourav Chettri & Yaadavi Mahajan won bronze for bronze for J&K UT, the Gold & Silver in this event is won by the pairs of Maharshtra & Gujarat.
In the TRIO event of senior category Gourav Chettri, Manav Gupta & Laksh Mahajan won bronze for J&K UT, the Gold & Silver in this event is won by the Trio of Services & Maharashtra. In the Group event of senior category Gourav Chettri, Laksh Mahajan, Manav Gupta, Yaadavi Mahajan & Sudipti Khanna won Bronze for J& K UT. Gold & Silver in this event is won by Services & Maharashtra respectively. In Juniors category Riya Sharma of J&K UT won Bronze medal in the Individual Woman Event, the Gold & bronze were won by Majida & Ariha from West Bengal & Manipur.
In sub Juniors category Ruddrakash Khanna of J&K UT won bronze medal for j&k in Individual Man event. Whereas in the same age group Ayman Tak, Aakshra & Pranavi Sharma won bronze medal in TRIO event whereas Gold & Bronze in this category is won by team of Maharashtra & west Bengal.
These medals winners are the trainee of Sports Council’s Gymnastics Academy at MA Stadium, Jammu under the expert guidance of Sports council coaches Krupali Singh Arjuna Awardee & Manisha Gupta. Warm welcome by the parents and Gen Sect of Gymnastics Associations of J&K.
