BJP pays tribute to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule

JAMMU, Apr 11: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu District South celebrated Jayanti (birth anniversary)of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on the occasion Samajik Nyay Saptah under the presidency of Rekha Mahajan District President Jammu South, organized the program in the esteem presence of General Secretary org Ashok Koul, Former Deputy CM Kavinder Gupta, Deputy Mayor Baldev Billowria, DDC Prof. Garu Ram Bhagat, State President OBC Morcha Sunil Prajapati, Seh Prabhari Jammu North Vinay Gupta, Former MLC Vikram Randhawa, Mandal President Gandhi nagar Bharat Bhushan at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Koul paid tribute to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his birth anniversary today. Koul said Jyotiba Phule was an iconic social reformer who strove tirelessly to dismantle caste barriers and social inequalities. Ashok Koul also recalled Jyotiba Phule's towering contribution to social justice and empowering the downtrodden. He stated his thoughts give hope and strength to millions.
Jyotiba Phule's views and contribution will keep inspiring all of us throughout our lives Ashok Koul, said. He said, his endeavor for the uplift of the underprivileged and women remains an eternal source of inspiration in our efforts to build an inclusive and egalitarian society. Ashok Koul furthermore admired the endeavors of Jammu District South under the leadership of Rekha Mahajan.
Kavinder Gupta paid tributes to social activist Mahatma Phule on his birth anniversary. Gupta said that Mahatma Phule is widely respected as the champion of social justice and a source of hope for countless people. Recollecting the great personality, Kavinder Gupta said Mahatma Phule was a multifaceted personality who worked tirelessly for social equality, women empowerment, and boosting education. He said India will forever be grateful to him for his monumental contribution.
In her presidential address, Rekha Mahajan accentuated that April 11 is celebrated each year as Jyotiba Phule Jayanti in the country in honor of Jyotirao Govindrao Phule, the social activist, and reformer from Maharashtra. She said, Phule worked towards the eradication of untouchability and the caste system in India. Along With his wife, Savitribai, he sowed seeds for women's education in India Rekha, added. Rekha underlined that Phule was born 196 years ago on April 11, 1827. He founded his first school for girls 172 years ago in Pune. He created the Satyashodhak Samaj, Society of Truth Seekers which aimed to achieve equal rights. He fought against female infanticide and launched a large campaign to get rid of the water crisis Rekha said.
The proceedings of the program was conducted by Rekha Mahajan and a vote of thanks was presented by OBC Morcha District President Vijay Dogra.
