Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 11: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta said that life and works of Mahatma Jyotirao Govindrao Phule are an inspiration for all.
He was speaking during a programme organized by Vijay Dogra President OBC Morcha to celebrate Jyotiba Phule Jayanti here at Government Middle School, Narwal Pain, Satwari.
On the occasion, floral tributes were paid to the famous social reformer and a great thinker Jyotiba Phule.
Kavinder said that Mahatma Phule dedicated his entire life to the welfare of downtrodden citizens, especially women. "Phule was India's foremost social reformer, educator, and thinker. Born in Maharashtra, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule was an anti-caste social reformer who played a crucial role in eradicating untouchability and empowering society. He said that BJP Government under the realms of PM Narendra Modi is doing commendable work for the downtrodden sections of the society and it is working on a comprehensive policy to ensure that no section of the society remains underprivileged as the schemes and plans crafted by the government led by PM Modi are universal and for all the segments. He said that people should come forward and extend wholehearted support to the party to make India a superpower with real power going in the hands of people and not the few selected ones running dynastic politics.
