Prominent Kashmir activist takes Azad ‘head on’
4/14/2023 10:53:53 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 14: Even as veteran politician Ghulam Nabi Azad has been targeting Congress in general and Rahul Gandhi in particular, the former Chief Minister is facing tough questions from a prominent Kashmiri activist.
The activist, who in the past was hailed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been speaking his heart out against Azad with the latter unable to respond to his questions.
“Padam Shree Chachi 420. Congressi in the day. Sanghi by night,” the prominent person alleged.
In his appeal to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the activist said: “Dear @PMOIndia @narendramodi ur reinvention of rootless Ghulams akin to adding non biodegradable Cong waste to ur J&K legacy. We won’t let u hand over hard won J&K to disgruntled thugs. Truer version of fraud buttering u as ‘Statesman’ just a yr back:”
The activist, who is known for his influence in the corridors of power, as per his social media posts, is not convinced with the statements as made by Azad in the recent past especially since the release of his book –Azaad!
Azad’s tell-all autobiography ‘Azaad’ was launched by Dr Karan Singh, the former Sadr-e-Riyasat of Jammu and Kashmir and former member of Rajya Sabha, and Kapish Mehra- MD at Rupa Publications, in New Delhi on April 5.
When asked if Rahul Gandhi is the reason for him to leave the Congress party, Azad had said, “Yes.” Azad also said that politicians have to be “spineless to survive in today’s Congress”. Azad has been accusing Rahul Gandhi of being responsible for the “debacle of the Congress”. While Azad has been claiming to be having issues with Rahul Gandhi in particular, the Kashmir activist has been sharing his past videos of having hailed the same Nehru Gandhi scion.
Sharing one such video of Azad, the activist said: “Ghulam & Azad at will, depending on ease of opportunism & size of the booty, this is what the same fraud had to say about Rahul Gandhi being the best bet & prospect for the post of Congress president. Listen in.”
Despite repeated attempts, the prominent activist or Azad couldn’t be contacted for comments.
