Mega Road Show held in Doda Township

DODA, Apr 17: A mega road show under Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation program (SVEEP) was held today here at Selfie Point of Clock Tower in Doda Town.
The programme was held as a part of special summary revision 2023 to encourage eligible voters who have attained the age of 18 years on 1st April 2023, for their registration in electoral roll and their active participation in the democracy and elections in the country. The programme was held under the guidance of District Election Officer Vishesh Mahajan.
The program was chaired by Dy District Election Officer Doda Amresh Kotwal, accompanied by DIO Doda Mohammad Ashraf wani, ENT Angrez Singh and Others. The programme was conducted with the active participation of the Education department, District Youth Services and Sports Department, Information Department and Election cell of DC office Doda.
The speakers threw light on the importance of summary revision and updation of electoral roll. The prospective voters were encouraged to participate in the democratic process by enrolling themselves in the electoral roll and casting their votes during the elections.
The attendees were informed that the Summary Revision will continue until April 20, and BLOs will be available with form 6, 7, and 8 for addition, deletion, and transposition, etc. The eligible voters who turned 18 years of age on April 1, 2023, can fill the required form 6 and be the elector in the greatest democracy in the world. Additionally, prospective voters who will attain the age of 18 years between July 1 and October 1 can also submit their form 6 to the concerned BLO. Voters can also access the www.nvsp.in portal for such services.
