Election department Ramban organises series of awareness activities under SVEEP

RAMBAN, Apr 17: District Election Department Ramban, under the aegis of District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner), Mussarat Islam, today conducted a series of awareness activities across the district under Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) Programme.
The events were organized in the educational institutions and Panchayat levels of the twin Assembly Constituencies of the district.
During the awareness programmes, BLOs, students, staff, PRIs and people in general and eligible youth in particular participated in the SVEEP activities. The participants were sensitized about the Forms to be used for registration of new voters, deletion, correction, transposition and Aadhar linkage. They were also sensitized about the online portal for registration of voters’ on the National Voters Service Portal (NVSP) and Mobile Voter Helpline App.
Directing the BLOs for marking of PwD voters and 80+ years voters in the electoral rolls, they were also asked to enroll all the eligible youth of areas of their respective polling stations as voters during the ongoing Special Summary Revision so that no eligible voter is left behind.
The registration forms were also distributed and filled-in forms were received from the eligible voters. It is pertinent to mention here that the IEC van has also been pressed into to create awareness among masses about the ongoing Summary Revision across the district.
