Awareness workshop for Youth held at G.G.M Science College

Jammu, Apr 17: GGM Science College under the patronage of worthy Principal Prof. Rajesh Kumar Gupta and guidance NSS Program Officer Dr. Deepali Mahajan organized a five day awareness workshop for youth under the aegis of G 20 from 12th to 17th March 2023. To ensure that youth understands their right as voters and exercise that right with full knowledge and responsibility, SVEEP program and a voter registration camp was organized at GGM Science College campus. To ensure no voter 18 years and above 18 years is left out, the District Administration JMC organized the camp today on 17th March from 10 am to 4 pm in college campus. The event was coordinated by election team under the supervision of Mr. Atulya and Campus Ambassador Dr. Deepali Mahajan. Earlier in the five day workshop plantation drive was held in college campus as tribute to Jallian wala bagh massacre under the aegis of MISSION LIFE. NSS unit II also organized a Tobacco free Educational Institute awareness rally under the aegis of nasha mukt bharat. Slogan writing was done to commemorate Ambedkar Jayanti . A jurist, politician, economist, and social reformer, Dr BR Ambedkar strived for the upliftment of Dalits and those from backward communities. NSS unit II volunteers also participated in traffic awareness drive held at Jewel with Traffic police making people aware about the rules especially the CCTV cameras installed at all check points under the guidance of Mr. Sunil Singh Manhas.
