District level enrolment rally held

UDHAMPUR, Apr 25: District level rally on enrollment drive was organized by the cultural and enrollment wing of Chief Education Office Udhampur, here today.
As many as 200 students and 35 teachers of various schools of the district Udhampur participated.
On the occasion, Chief Education Officer presented welcome address to all dignitaries. Thereafter an impressive cultural programme was organized by the students of various Government schools on the theme of enrollment drive.
The rally was flagged off by Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shanker Sharma along with Joint Director Udhampur Reasi range, Dhirender Sharma, Chief Education Officer Udhampur, Geetu Bangotra, District Education Planning Officer, Girija Challu, Principal of Shaheed Inspector Kamal Singh Model Higher Secondary School (Boys), Pawan Kumar, Assistant Director Planning, Darshan Lal Sharma and In charge Cultural wing Directorate of School Education Jammu, Surjeet Kumar. Rally passes via Gole Market, Ramnagar Chowk, Slathia Chowk, D.C. Office, Housing Colony and finally culminated at the venue.
Director School Education Jammu, while speaking on the ocassion said that, Education plays a pivotal role and is an important aspect of life therefore each and every child of the District should be enrolled in the school.
He directed all the subordinates on different levels to conduct door to door campaign and motivate the parents of the children to enroll their wards in nearby school. He informed that the girls dropout rate is higher therefore all of us should work together to minimize the dropout rate among girl children.
District Education Planning Officer, presented vote of thanks on the occasion.
