TR Gupta Trust holds medical camp at border village

JAMMU, May 3: Committed to provide medical care and other assistance to the needy people, the T R Gupta Public Charitable Trust held a Multispecialty Medical camp at a border village Badyal Brahmana, in R S Pura tehsil where more than 350 patients were provided free medical treatment and medicines. This was the fourth such Medical Camp organised by the Trust, first in the current year. It was inaugurated by TR Gupta, Chairman of the Trust in the presence of other Trustees and prominent residents of the village.
The basic objective of organising such camps is to reach out to the uncovered rural population. This CAMP was organized in the premises of Nav Shishu Vikas Kendra High School of the border village of village Badyal Brahmina which is inhabited by about three thousand families Various Investigations like Haemoglobin check-up of 250 patients was carried out besides blood sugar estimation of about 40 patients. In addition, ECG was also performed on the advice of the physicians.
Well known doctors including Dr Ashok Kumar Gupta, Child specialist & former HoD of Dept of Paediatrics, GMC Jammu, Dr VP Gupta & Dr Kuldeep Gubgotra, Senior Physician specialists , Dr S. S. Padha Bone & joint specialist, Dr Surbhi Gupta Ophthalmologist, Dr Deep Shikha ENT specialist, Dr Nidhi Dermatologist, Dr Arshdeep Singh Paediatrician provided specialist treatment to the people. Dr Priya Chandel Physiotherapist was also present.
TR Gupta took a lot of interest in the activities of the camp and interacted with the Panchayat members and other local people attending the camp. He said that he owed it to the village as he started his career with Atta Chakki machine in 1955, and then in a few years, he changed to construction business. He along with other Trustees visited the site where ATTA CHAKKI was set up by him and found it still in functional condition.
He praised the village Panchayat members especially Sarpanch Smt. Kanta Sharma, Sarpanch Binny Sharma, Panch Mangat Ram, Principal Gulzar Singh. He thanked all the doctors, media persons, paramedics, various people involved in registration of cases in Panchayat Ghar and all others who rendered their services.
The Trustees present were Rajinder Motial, Dr Ashok Kumar Gupta, Yash Paul Gupta, SK Sharma, Kailash Langer, Naresh Gupta and Er Ajay Sabharwal.
