KISHTWAR, May 16: In a major effort to combat plastic pollution, the team of Municipal Council Kishtwar and District Pollution Control Board conducted a rigorous crackdown on shops violating plastic usage regulations. During the operation conducted under the guidance of EO Municipal Council Kishtwar Ninand Sen and District Officer Pollution Control Board Mukesh Singh Bali, a staggering 300 kg of polythene below 120 micron was seized by team from Violators.
With an unwavering commitment to environmental conservation, the authorities have taken decisive action against the usage of plastic materials that do not adhere to government guidelines.
The crackdown serves as a stern warning to shopkeepers regarding the consequences of non-compliance with plastic usage regulations.
The EO stressed the importance of adhering to the guidelines set forth by the government. He emphasized that the excessive use of plastic poses a significant threat to the environment and public health. By conducting this operation, the Municipal Council Kishtwar and District Pollution Control Board Kishtwar have demonstrated their commitment to enforcing regulations and preserving the natural beauty of the region.
