5/16/2023 11:22:58 PM
Early Times Report

RAJOURI, May 16: Shalini Khokher, from border Village Gania of Nowshera subdivision, a thriving entrepreneur in the beauty parlour business, has a remarkable story that exemplifies the power of opportunity and support. Her journey began at a time when there were no specific programs for women to establish their own businesses in the District Rajouri. However, after the abrogation of Article 370, a new ray of hope emerged for the girls like Shalini, and a number of women-centric schemes were launched.
One such scheme was the Tejaswani scheme of Mission Youth. Shalini narrated that she had applied for the Tejaswani scheme and was pleasantly surprised when the district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, immediately sanctioned the subsidized loan in her favor. In the past, applicants had to go through a lot of hassle to get their loans sanctioned, but the single-window system on an online mode has made life easier for people.
Shalini proudly states that the abrogation of Article 370 has been a blessing for her and her family.
Previously, they had to struggle alot to make two ends meet, but now she is earning a substantial amount and supporting her family. She is also training other girls in her area and motivating them to take advantage of the benefits of the scheme.
Shalini’s success story is a testament to the fact that the abrogation of Article 370 has opened doors for people like her who were previously struggling to make a living. With the launch of women-centric schemes and the ease of doing business, people in Jammu and Kashmir are now optimistic about their future.
The story of Shalini Khokher is not just a success story but an appeal to the government to continue supporting and empowering women entrepreneurs. With the right opportunities and support, women can achieve their dreams and contribute to the growth of the nation. The abrogation of Article 370 has given people like Shalini a new ray of hope, and it is up to all of us to keep this hope alive. It is imperative that the government continues to provide support.
