NYK organizes Yuva Utsav in Kathua, Reasi colleges

UDHAMPUR, May 17: Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, is set to organize the District Level Yuva Utsav on May 25, 2023, at Government Degree College Udhampur, followed by GDC Reasi on May 26. The event will be organized in collaboration with the NSS unit of the respective colleges.
During a press conference, Khushal Gupta, District Youth Officer, encouraged talented youth from Udhampur and Reasi districts to register for the District Level event through the designated Google form and seize the opportunity to participate.
This year, the Yuva Utsav will feature five components: Young Artists Camp (Painting), Young Writers Camp (Poem), Photography Workshop, Declamation Contest, and Cultural Festival (Group Dance only).
Cash prizes and certificates of appreciation will be awarded to the winners of the Painting, Poetry, and Photography contests. The Declamation contest and Group Cultural contest will also offer cash prizes to the top performers. Winners of each event will qualify for the State Level contest, followed by the National Level Yuva Utsav.
Khushal Gupta emphasized the crucial role of PRIs, ULBs, Civil Society organizations, NGOs, and educational institutions in ensuring the participation of talented youth. Interested candidates are requested to register before May 22, 2023, by contacting the provided numbers.
The event will also feature stalls and exhibitions by key development departments, providing information about various social and financial inclusion schemes of the Government of India.
