| Rs 10 lakh withdrawn for development works, not a penny spent on ground | | ACD Anantnag withholds salary of 3 RDD employees, appoint BDO Larnoo as inquiry officer | | Early Times Report
Anantnag, May 17: ACD Anantnag has issued an order to withhold the salary of three employees of Rural Development Department in Larnoo block for their alleged involvement in the corruption.
The three employees whose salary has been withheld are: Ghulam Rasool Rather, Panchayat inspector , Abdul Majeed Ganie, Panchayat secretary and Mohammad Tasaduq.
Sources told Early Times that around Rs 10 lakh were withdrawn for development works in the Larnoo block but not a single penny was spent on the ground. “At least 10 employees were involved in the scam,” sources added.
They said that the entire scam was brought to fore by the Block Development Officer (BDO) Larnoo and till date he has recovered Rs 6 lakhs from the accused employees. The ACD Anantnag has ordered a probe and appointed BDO Larnoo as the enquiry officer. The officer has been directed to submit his report within one week. |
