Justice Tashi Rabstan Inaugurates LADC Office, addresses inmate issues at Sub-Jail

REASI, May 17: Justice Tashi Rabstan, Judge of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, and Executive Chairman of J&K Legal Services Authority, visited the District Court Complex in Reasi today. During his visit, he inaugurated the Office of the Legal Aid Defence Counsel (LADC).
Accompanied by Amit Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary of J&K Legal Services Authority, and Sonia Gupta, Principal District and Sessions Judge of Reasi and Chairman of DLSA Reasi, Justice Tashi Rabstan also paid a visit to the Sub-Jail in Reasi. He took the opportunity to listen to the grievances of the jail inmates and assured them of timely redressal.
Chief Prosecutor Officer Ranjiv Kumar and Senior Prosecuting Officer Ashwani Kumar also accompanied Justice Tashi Rabstan to the Sub-Jail in Reasi. During the inauguration of the LADC Office, Justice Tashi Rabstan presented appointment letters to Rashi Baru, Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel, and Supriya, Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel.
Under the guidance and supervision of Justice Tashi Rabstan, a Legal Awareness camp on Defense Legal Aid Counsel System was organized in Bakkal, Reasi. The event was attended by Amit Gupta, Member Secretary of SLSA, Sonia Gupta, Principal District and Sessions Judge of Reasi, Archana Charak, Chief Judicial Magistrate of Reasi, Sunil Kumar, Secretary/Sub-Judge of DLSA Reasi, and other Judicial Officers. Officials from the District Administration and Police were also present during the occasion. Following the formal engagements, Justice Tashi Rabstan had an interactive session with members of the Bar Association in Reasi.
