PTTI holds one day workshop on ChatGPT

VIJAYPUR, May 23: The Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur, in collaboration with the Department of National Security Studies at Central University of Jammu, organized a highly informative one-day workshop on "ChatGPT and Artificial Intelligence (AI)." The workshop aimed to enlighten the staff and trainees of the Institute on these emerging technologies. Dr. Ekta Manhas, Assistant Professor at the Department of National Security Studies, Central University of Jammu, delivered an engaging lecture on the subject, covering various aspects of Artificial Intelligence (AI), its impact on security, and the opportunities and challenges it presents. Dr. Ekta emphasized that AI enables machines to exhibit human-like thinking, decision-making, and intention, making it a powerful tool for information analysis and better decision-making. The lecture was followed by an interactive session where attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and participate in thought-provoking discussions. In the valedictory address, Shiv Kumar, SSP and Principal of PTTI Vijaypur, shed light on the merits and demerits of Artificial Intelligence. He highlighted the significance of organizing such a workshop to raise awareness among police personnel about the emerging security challenges posed by AI. Shiv Kumar expressed gratitude to Dr. Ekta Manhas for sharing her valuable experience and thanked Dr. J. Jaganaathan, Assistant Professor & Head of the Department of National Security Studies at Central University of Jammu, for coordinating the participation of their intellectual team. He expressed hope for continued collaboration in the future. The workshop was attended by various officials, including Zia-Ul-Haq, Dy.SP (Admn/Outdoor), Kuldeep Raj, Dy.SP (Indoor/Tech.), Inspr.
