Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 24: Avnit Malhotra, a 5-year-old student of Jodhamal Public School, has made his mark in the international arena by creating a world record of performing 35 cartwheels in just one minute. Avnit, the son of Vinit Malhotra and Dr. Charu Malhotra, surpassed the previous record of 32 cartwheels, as recognized by the International Book of Records.
Avnit, currently studying in UKG, began his preparations for this record-breaking feat in March 2023. With the guidance of his parents and the support of his coach, Pawan Kumar, Avnit dedicated several hours each day to practice. His rigorous training regimen was complemented by a high-protein diet to ensure optimal performance.
On April 3, 2023, Avnit's video attempt for the record was submitted to the International Book of Records. Following a thorough verification process, he officially became eligible for the record on April 5, 2023. The officials reviewed the submitted videos and confirmed on April 26 that Avnit Malhotra had indeed set a new international record by performing 35 cartwheels in one minute, surpassing the previous record of 32 cartwheels.
The record-breaking videos were shared on the official International Book of Records website and their various social media platforms. In recognition of his exceptional achievement, Avnit was awarded the prestigious International Book of Records certificate and a medal.
Buoyed by this success, Avnit now sets his sights on another feat: attempting a one-handed cartwheel record. His determination and drive serve as an inspiration to his peers and fellow students.
The management, along with Principal Girish Kumar and Vice Principal Shefali Sanwal, lauded Avnit Malhotra's outstanding efforts and extended their heartfelt congratulations to his proud parents for this momentous achievement.
