Shiksha Niketan students triumph in Poster Making Competition

JAMMU, May 30: Tejas Dutta, Mannat Chouhan, and Amandeep Singh, students of Shiksha Niketan Higher Secondary Jeevan Nagar, secured top positions in a poster making competition organized by Indian Oil Corporation Limited JK UT. The event took place on May 27, 2023, with over 35 participants from classes 11th and 12th showcasing their talents and highlighting energy conservation methods through their posters. A felicitation program was held at the regional office of Indian Oil Corporation Limited in Bahu Plaza, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, where the winners, along with their parents, were honored by the Regional Director and other dignitaries. The program, titled LIFE 2023 (Life and Environment), aimed to promote awareness about energy conservation.
The successful execution of the event was attributed to the supervision of Basit Ishaq, Assistant Manager Retail at Indian Oil Corporation. The Principal, Rameshwar Mengi, and the management of Shiksha Niketan Hr. Sec. School Jeevan Nagar, were lauded for their efforts in organizing the program. The school's headmaster, Harish Sharma, and the in-charge of the high secondary wing, Sudesh Rana, played crucial roles in its success. The coordination of the program was handled by Isha Sawhney and Sukhvinder Kour, lecturers of the high secondary wing.
The officials of Indian Oil Corporation commended the active participation of the students and emphasized the importance of such events in protecting the environment and conserving energy. Rameshwar Mengi expressed his appreciation for the corporation's efforts and congratulated the students and their parents on their remarkable achievements. He highlighted the school's role in societal progress and development.
