Early Times Report HIRANAGAR, May 30: The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of Govt. G.L.D.M Degree College Hiranagar conducted a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and IP Management. The aim of this program was to familiarize students with different domains of Intellectual Property and enhance their knowledge and skills regarding patents. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Kaurab Singh, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology at GDC Kathua. His lecture primarily focused on the significance of patents, designs, and other components of Intellectual Property. He discussed the rights granted to individuals over their creations and highlighted recent Intellectual Property issues. Furthermore, he provided insights into various tools and online platforms for patent searching. The workshop was held under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Pragya Khanna, the Principal of the college. Dr. Khanna emphasized the importance of being aware of Intellectual Property Rights and commended Kaurab Singh for his extensive knowledge and skills in the field. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Anju Rani, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Arun Kumar. The workshop witnessed the presence of Prof. Shujat Khan (IQAC Coordinator), Prof. Parveen Pathak (IIC President), Prof. Devinder Kour (IIC Convenor), Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Prof. Rakesh Sharma, Prof. Bhavana Jamwal, Dr. Jyoti, Prof. Kiran, Prof. Ritika, Dr. Arun Kumar, and Dr. Manjot Singh.
