DC inaugurates grand exhibition at BGSB University

RAJOURI, May 30: Vikas Kundal, Deputy Commissioner, inaugurated a two-day multimedia exhibition on 'Amrit Mahotsav, G-20 Presidency & Mission Life' organized by the Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office, Rajouri. The event took place at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in Rajouri, with the presence of esteemed guests including Ghulam Abbas, Joint Director of CBC J&K and Press Information Bureau, Jammu.
During the program, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal commended the efforts of the Central Bureau of Communication for organizing this significant event. He encouraged the audience to take advantage of the knowledge being shared by various departments regarding social welfare schemes and other programs of the Government of India. Emphasizing the importance of digital platforms, he urged the youth to utilize web portals to access the benefits of various schemes under the Digital India initiative.
Ghulam Abbas, Joint Director of CBC J&K, Ladakh Region & Press Information Bureau, Jammu, highlighted the various schemes offered by the Government of India throughout an individual's life, from the prenatal stage to death. He expressed gratitude to the district administration and BGSB University authorities for their support in organizing the exhibition. Abbas encouraged the audience to spread the word about the event and invited them to visit the exhibition, which would remain open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Dr. Asgar Ali Shah, Dean Academic Affairs of BGSB University, enlightened the gathering about various central government schemes related to higher education in India and raised awareness about the detrimental effects of drug abuse. Rajiv Khajuria, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, and Parupkar Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, also addressed the audience, shedding light on the menace of drug abuse and its harmful consequences. Representatives from different departments, including the District Forest Officer and the Extension Officer from Animal Husbandry, spoke about schemes related to their respective fields. The guests, speakers, winners of the National Public HSS Drawing Competition, and students of BGSB University participating in the Open Quiz were honored by CBC Rajouri.
The event concluded with a captivating cultural program presented by Chaman Lal Mattoo and Party, which left the audience enthralled.
