Police file chargesheet against 9 accused in 2022 attack on Police case

SAMBA, June 3: Under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, the police have filed a chargesheet against all nine notorious accused involved in a murderous attack on a police case registered in 2022 at Police Station Ghagwal through Police Post Rajpura.
On December 28, 2022, a police party from Police Post Rajpura was attacked by bovine smugglers in Malaani village, located in the border area of Samba sector under the jurisdiction of PP Rajpura and PS Ghagwal. As a result, two police officials were injured, with one head constable sustaining grievous head injuries requiring hospitalization and nine stitches. A case FIR No. 181/2022 under sections 307/353/332/336/147/148/323/325 IPC was registered at Police Station Ghagwal through Police Post Rajpura. The investigation was initiated, leading to the arrest of the main accused. After completing the investigation, the case against the nine hardcore accused was proven, and the chargesheet has been presented in the court for judicial determination.
The notorious accused against whom the chargesheet has been filed by the police are: Shab Ali alias Gugu, son of Sher Din, resident of Handa Chak; Mohd Sadiq alias Shiku, son of Taj Din, resident of Chak Bathal Kathua; Sadiq Ali, son of Gugger, resident of Lakhadi Nagrota Udhampur, currently residing in Haripur tehsil Mahreen; Maskeen Ali alias Jatu, resident of Chappaki tehsil Mahreen; Makhan Din, son of Hussan, resident of Malaani tehsil Rajpura; Zahoor Din, son of Hussan, resident of Malaani tehsil Rajpura; Mohd Shareef, son of Hussan, resident of Malaani tehsil Rajpura; Roshan Bibi, wife of Makhan Din, resident of Malaani tehsil Rajpura; and Moju, son of Gaya, resident of Malaani tehsil Rajpura, district Samba.
The investigation of the case was conducted by SHO Police Station Ghagwal, Bharat Bhushan, under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, stated that strict legal actions would be taken against anyone creating lawlessness by attacking the police. All accused involved in attacks on the police would be arrested, their criminal records would be examined, investigations would be conducted promptly, and the chargesheets would be presented in court for judicial determination.
