Jodhamal student Aaditya shines in International Space Competition

JAMMU, June 3: Aaditya Singh Sambyal, a 5th-grade student of Jodhamal Public School in Channi Himmat, Jammu, has achieved remarkable success by securing the second position in the highly esteemed International Space Olympiad competition. This prestigious competition comprises three challenging levels: Primary, where Aaditya secured the first position; Secondary, where he achieved the second rank; and the Final level, where he maintained his impressive performance and secured the second rank in the international arena. Aaditya's consistent excellence and perseverance throughout all three levels earned him the esteemed Roll of Honour.
Aaditya's journey in the competition spanned an entire year, during which he devoted time to in-depth research on space and technology. Each level presented greater difficulty and advanced concepts, requiring Aaditya's dedication to his regular studies and extracurricular activities.
Aaditya has been mentored by Dr. MRK Menon, a Space Tutor at ISRO. As a promising young scientist, Aaditya has also received an invitation from ISRO to visit the Thumba Rocket launch facility in Trivandrum, where he will gain real hands-on experience under the guidance of Dr. MRK Menon. Furthermore, he is preparing to participate in the senior category of the International Space Olympiad. Upon completion of this exam, Aaditya will have the opportunity to visit the NASA campus in Florida, USA.
In the previous year, Aaditya excelled in Aero Modeling and topped the competition. His Model Rocketry video received appreciation from Dr. G. Madhavan Nair, the former Chairman of ISRO.
