SRINAGAR, June 3: Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, inaugurated a state-of-the-art Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) and CT Scan Unit at Ujala Cygnus Super Speciality Hospital, Nowgam in Srinagar. The establishment of these advanced healthcare facilities marks a significant step towards providing enhanced medical services to the people of Kashmir valley.
Advisor Bhatnagar highlighted the substantial progress made by the J&K Government in developing high-quality medical infrastructure throughout the region. He mentioned the establishment of numerous medical colleges, AIIMS, Cancer Institutes, and Pediatric Hospitals, which have transformed the healthcare system in Jammu and Kashmir. He also emphasized the importance of the Ayushman Bharat SEHAT scheme, which enables people to access medical treatment in advanced healthcare institutions across the country.
The newly inaugurated Cath Lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, enabling the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiac conditions. This advanced facility will greatly contribute to improving the outcomes for patients with heart-related ailments. The CT Scan Unit at the hospital is a valuable addition to their diagnostic capabilities, enabling effective treatment planning and better patient care.
The availability of these advanced medical facilities in the region ensures timely and accurate diagnosis, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances for specialized treatments. The 24*7 treatment services provided by the Cath Lab under the Ayushman Bharat SEHAT scheme will further enhance patient care.
