Jammu, June 4: The J&K Shri Sadguru Kabir Sabha commemorated the 525th Kabir Jayanti at Kabir Bhawan, Chak-avtara, Bishnah, on June 4, 2023. The event witnessed a significant turnout of attendees from various districts of Jammu division, including Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur, and Reasi.
During the occasion, a spiritual discourse on Kabir’s philosophy was delivered. Sh. F.C Bhagat, President of the Kabir Sabha, highlighted Kabir’s poetry as a reflection of his life philosophy. Kabir’s writings centered on the concepts of reincarnation and karma, emphasizing a simple and inclusive way of living. He strongly believed in the oneness of God and urged the public to embrace a life inspired by Kabir’s philosophy, transcending religious, caste, and creed boundaries to promote equality.
In addition, the Kabir Sabha observed the 53rd Shaheedi Divas (Martyrdom Day) of Shaheed Bhagat Amarnath. Sh. Mula Ram Ji, Chairman of the Sabha, paid tribute to Bhagat Amarnath, considering him an icon of society and the “2nd Ambedkar of India.” He emphasized the crucial role played by Bhagat Amarnath’s supreme sacrifice in advancing the progress of the backward society.
The event saw the presence and speeches of various dignitaries, including B.R Kundal, Chief Secretary (Retd), Ashok Kumar Angurana IAS (Retd), G.R Bhagat, Sr. Vice President, Tilak Raj Bhagat, Chief Engineer (Retd), Gurdass Bhagat, Prof. Ashok Bhagat, Tarsem Lal, and Manohar Lal. Additionally, the DDC, BDC, Sarpanch, Panch, and all office bearers paid their respects to Bhagat Amarnath and Sant Kabir.
