JAMMU, June 5: On June 5, 2023, the NCC Unit of GDC and HSS Khour, in collaboration with Municipality Khour, organized a rally in Khour market to celebrate National Environment Day. The rally aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of single-use plastic bags on the environment. NCC cadets conducted a cleanliness drive and interacted with local residents, educating them about the impact of plastic waste and the importance of pollution prevention. The event was coordinated by Professor (Lt.) Arun Sharma (NCC Officer of the College) and Ghar Singh (ANO HSS Khour), under the guidance of Dr. T.K. Sharma, Principal of GDC Khour, and Col. R.S. Jasrotia SM, Bn Cdr, 2 J&K BN NCC. |
